Bombay Drug De-addiction Center of Excellence was established in 1992 at King Edward’s Medical (KEM) Hospital. It provides comprehensive de-addiction therapy both indoors and outdoors for patients who are addicted to alcohol, opioids, or cannabis. The KEM DTC opened for business in March 2015 and employs a committed team of nurses, counselors, and medical officers. Every month, between 0 and 90 new patients and 95 to 100 existing patients are registered; of them, 29 are now on OST.
